BMW X5 M
A new breed of grandeur
Forget what you know about sports activity vehicles, the BMW X5 Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) has been redesigned and rebuilt from the wheels up and has new levels of luxury, connectivity and performance. Whatever adventures lie ahead, know you can.
The BMW X5 design makes a powerful statement. The enlarged one-piece kidney grille, which has a hexagonal design, is paired with a sculptured bonnet and gives the iconic front a new lease of life. Other standout features include the short overhang, a compact wheelbase, and a noticeably more upright appearance. And when combined with the elegant roofline, its grandeur and sportiness is in perfect harmony.
This is the third-generation BMW X5 M. The original X5 M Sport was one of the very first high-riding models designed to go quickly on tarmac instead of off-road and was even launched at Road Atlanta race track in the USA.
With a 4.4-litre petrol V8 engine, which delivers 250kW (340hp), fuel consumption 14,7 lt/100km 19 MPG and an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The BMW X5 xDrive40i combines a superior xDrive all-wheel-drive traction system with the refined BMW TwinPower Turbo engine.
It has a Head-Up Display that projects drive and multimedia related information onto the front windshield of the car. With the adaptive air suspension set to Comfort, the X5 cruises along with a cushioned sense of rolling refinement. It has a top speed of 177 MPH. There is not an electric version of the M, but there is the BMW X5 45e plug-in hybrid.
The BMW X5 M is an impressive performance SUV, similar to the Range Rover Sport SVR, competing with other high-performance large SUVs such as the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 and Porsche Cayenne turbo.
